Giveaway: Galen Leather Sinclair Case

I spent some time talking with the team at Galen Leather at the DC Supershow and had them pick the best of the best of their new Leather Sinclair Pen Case in Deep Cognac just to share with one lucky reader.

If you’re not familiar with the Nock Co. Sinclair case, it started its life as a simple fabric case created in the Atlanta area and was then recreated in custom-printed fabrics by Rickshaw Bagworks and now Galen is bringing a new level of luxury to the humble Sinclair by producing it in fine leathers with soft, supple handwoven Kutnu lining.

The interior has three pen slots on one side and a full slot on the other to hold a pocket notebook or loose pens. There is space in the center section for an additional pen sleeve like the 2- or 3-pen coozy from Rickshaw to carry even more pens!

I am giving away ONE Galen Leather Sinclair pen case (shown in the photos above, pens and accessories not included). Please follow the instructions below to enter.

TO ENTER: Leave a comment below and tell me if you have an original Sinclair, a Rickshaw Sinclair or if this will be your first-ever Sinclair. Play along and type in something. It makes reading through entries more interesting for me, okay? One entry per person.

    1. So glad to see Nock products are inspiring other companies! I have a Nock Sinclair that I purchased as my first pen case, with a Rickshaw 2 pen insert. They are both my EDC and my pens would be lost without them!

  4. No Sinclair. Ii have around 50 pen cases (including Galen)but then I have 250 pens so the more the merrier!

  13. Wow, what a giveaway. I literally just watched Inkdependence Mike review the one Galen Leather gave him at the DC pen show. I also saw Brad with Pen Addict review and I have been lusting after it ever since. I do have a rickshaw Sinclair, and it is my favorite pen case. I love leather so this looks very extravagant and beautiful.

  21. I only have a Nock fabric rollup case that I bought from Papier Plume some odd 15 or more years ago. This Sinclair case is beautiful and would make a great little sketching/pen case.

  24. I have both an original Sinclair (orange with blue lining) and a Rickshaw Sinclair (the St. Louis Pen Show edition with the same blue lining). I don’t have anything from Galen Leather (yet) so this would be a great way to expand the collection!

  30. No Sinclairs in my stash, have a few other Nock Co pen cases and covers though. I’ve always been interested in the Sinclair layout, especially since I’m using pocket notebooks lately instead of my usual A6 ones. Anyways, glad they’ve been keeping the brand alive through collaborations like this!

  35. Ooooo! I didn’t know there was a leather version, that is pretty cool. I don’t have a Nock or Sinclair, but I do have a Rickshaw 5-pen roll with the Yuki cat design, which I enjoy! I’m on the hunt for a little more pen storage, so this is great to keep in mind. Thanks for the review & giveaway!

  37. That’s a gorgeous case. I have a long haul flight to South Asia coming up and this case would help keep my precious pens and a slim notebook corralled in my single carry-on bag. It’s compact enough for my economy class tray table, but the beautiful leather would make my many hours long flight feel like wee bit of first class! This would be my first Sinclair.

  39. I have one rickshaw solo xl pen sleeve that I got from an ipen box subscription many years ago. I love the plush lining. I’ve never been able to splurge on a pen case, especially one that is leather, because the pens already seem so expensive. It would be nice to carry more than one pen around with me in a beautiful protective leather case. It is a very nice giveaway!

  48. No Sinclairs here. The only Rickshaw I have is a Moleskine Folio from 2010 that is still a daily driver and holding up great. Also, please don’t forget to feed the monkeys.

  51. I have a slowly increasing set of Sinclairs, andI do have an old teal Nock Sinclair from the 2016-ish time frame (It was before the pandemic, or “The Before Times”, as I am wont to call them. I also have two Rickshaw Sinclairs, as well. I also have a canvas little Nock index card holder and a spot for a pen.

  56. I have both some of the original Sinclairs, including one of the TPA Kickstarter oiled canvas ones (is that the right name??) and some of the Sinclairs by Rickshaw including specialty fabrics. I carry the Rickshaw denim sakura version to work every day and it goes on trips with me too. Can you tell I love this case? I’d love to add the Galen Leather version to my collection too!

  69. I’ve never owned a Sinclair or any Nock Co design. I love the idea of them but never cared for the canvas fabrics – it reminds me too much of school cases, which I loved as a student but am happy to leave far behind me as an adult.

But my poor pens have decision paralysis and don’t know which case to purchase and obtain a mortgage for. They have volunteered to be testers for any recommendations you have!!
